If previous CPA board exams were to be used as basis, the results of the May 2010 CPA Board Exams should be released by Wednesday, May 26, 2010. This is barring any hold-ups of course.
It’s really astonishing how fast things are nowadays. I can still remember the war stories on the results of cpa board exams being released 6 months after. Who could ever forget the legend of Conrado Valix, a reviewer from CPAR who topped the CPA board exams twice due to a fire, or something like that. If I remember the stories I heard, apparently Valix retook the cpa board exam for fear that his test papers were burnt when the building where the cpa examination papers where kept while the results were yet to be released. It turned out that the examination papers were safe. When the results were released, Valix got first place. A couple of months after, when the results of the cpa board where he took his second exam, he was also the number 1 topnotcher. Thus in the urban legends of Philippine accounting lore, Conrado Valix became the only accountant to get first place in the CPA Board Exams not just once, but twice. Amazing feat it is.
Well, I’m not exactly sure if this is correct, but one thing is for sure, such a thing will no longer happen these days with the cpa board exam results coming out just after a couple of days.
So who do you think will reign supreme in this years May CPA board exams? I get the feeling that the perennial big boys of May, the Green Archers of DLSU will still be dominant. It’s just too bad really that the Ateneo De Manila University doesn’t have an accountancy program. It would have been a lot of fun.
Anyway, I’m sure a lot of cpa examinees will stay up late Tuesday night next week waitinf of the release of the May 2010 CPA Board Exams results. I can already here picture them spending all evening drinking, and praying. But in any case, as long as you did your best, you should be confident that you’ll pass.
